Shigaku Fighting Styles: Known Names, Equipping, and Ability Rerolls

Boxing is the only named Shigaku fighting style so far. See how styles are equipped in fights, how updates add new styles, and what rerolls actually change.

Quick answer

Shigaku has multiple equippable fighting styles, but Boxing is the only style name that has been publicly showcased so far — no complete style list or total count has been documented.

  • Styles are equipped as part of fight setup: equip a Fighting Style, start a fight, and hit the gym to get stronger.
  • New Fighting Styles are added through game updates, so the known style list can change after any patch.
  • Rerolls are reported to change your face, equipment, and fighting abilities — they are not documented as swapping your equipped fighting style.
  • Per-style unlock steps, moves, and stats aren't documented yet, so a style-vs-style comparison isn't possible.

Fighting styles in Shigaku: what's named so far

Shigaku is built around mastering different fighting styles, and equipping one is a normal part of gameplay rather than a hidden feature. The one style name with a public face is Boxing: a dedicated community showcase clip, tagged for the Shigaku Roblox community (.gg/shigaku), is captioned "boxing style showcase." Beyond Boxing, style names aren't pinned down, and no total style count has been documented.

Because new Fighting Styles are listed among the content that game updates bring, any style list is a snapshot of the current version — recheck it after each update to see what's changed.

How styles are equipped and used in fights

Styles are equipped and used in open-campus fights rather than through a structured quest line. The documented gameplay loop reads: "Equip a Fighting Style and start a fight, hit the gym to get stronger" — a style is equipped as part of setting up a fight, and gym training builds your strength alongside it. The same loop is summarized as developing your fighting style, then taking part in intense battles.

What isn't documented is the equip step itself: no menu path, NPC, trainer, purchase, or unlock condition has been described for any style, including Boxing. If you're hunting for where the equip happens, that's currently something to check in-game.

Changing styles: what rerolls actually cover

The only change mechanism connected to fighting is rerolls. Codes are reported to leave you "able to change your face, equipment, and fighting abilities at will," and guidance around redeeming them says to use them when you want "a new face or a different set of abilities." Both descriptions say "abilities," not "fighting style," so a reroll swapping your equipped style isn't documented. Treat rerolls as a way to reroll fighting-related character abilities, and check your character in-game after using one to see what actually changed. The code strings and redemption steps themselves are outside this style reference.

What still isn't pinned down

  • The full style list and total count. Only Boxing is named publicly; other style names and a total count aren't documented.
  • How any style is obtained. No trainer, NPC, purchase, or unlock condition has been described for any style.
  • Style-specific moves and stats. With no documented moves, damage values, or tradeoffs per style, there's no basis for a style-vs-style comparison or a "best style" ranking.
  • Whether rerolls change your equipped style. Reroll descriptions mention "fighting abilities," not styles.

Since new Fighting Styles arrive with game updates, treat every detail above — the style list, acquisition methods, and any mechanics-sensitive information — as something to recheck after the next update.
